3 Day Gorilla Tour in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

This three day Gorilla trek in Uganda grants you opportunities of visiting Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is located in the South western part of Uganda for its variety of shy endangered ground dwelling herbivores Mountain Gorillas in the mist.

Upon arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be picked by our Safari guide and transferred up to your reserved hotel of residence in Kampala city or Entebbe town for some relaxation after a long flight, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Very early in the morning after your delicious breakfast embark our Safari jeep plus your luggage and start the journey from Kampala or Entebbe with our experienced fluently English speaking guide heading to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Kampala- Masaka- Mbarara highway.

Usually enroute stop over at the equator in Kayabwe before reaching Masaka town is included for brief explanation about the equator, photos when posing at the equator, cup of coffee and snacks plus buying some crafts and souvenirs sold around.

After Equator experience you will continue with the journey up to the Park, lunch is usually provided enroute in Mbarara town at Agip Hotel.

After lunch, proceed to Bwindi where you will arrive in the late evening. Check in at booked place of residence for relaxation after a long distance drive, diner and overnight stay.

Accommodation Options include Mahogany springs, Chameleon Hill and Buhoma lodge for Luxury, Gorilla Mist Camp and Silver back lodge for Midrange, Ruhija Gorilla friends’ camp and Rushaga Gorilla Camp for Budget accommodation facilities.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla trekking- Bwindi Forest

Early in the morning after breakfast, drive to the park offices or starting point where you will be briefed by the park officials about how to behave in the jungle and while in presence of these apes, also you will be divided into groups of 8 people since each gorilla family is allowed to be visited by one group of eight people per day.

Then after briefing, each group of eight people is assigned a park ranger and armed officers to start the journey heading to the Jungle following the permanently established routes in search of these apes and after locating these apes in the Jungles you are allowed to stay in their presence for only one hour while seeing them playing, feeding, laughing plus taking photos and videos of them.

After one session, you are ordered to start the journey back to the Park offices for the award of Gorilla trekking certificate, time taken for the trekking and distance moved usually depend on location of these apes

After certificate awarding in the evening you may choose to relax at the lodge or visit Batwa community, after return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Visit Lake Bunyonyi- Drive to Kampala

Early in the morning after breakfast check out for a visit to Lake Bunyonyi where you will have a local boat ride along its waters visiting its islands, after boat ride start your journey back to Kampala passing through rolling hills with terraces

This journey is characterised with enroute viewing of the lush vegetation of different areas you will go through. Lunch is provided in Mbarara and then after lunch you continue driving to Kampala arriving in late afternoon.

Our guide will drop you off to the hotel of residence or at the airport for your flight back home. End of Safari
