Our amazing Gorilla trek and Wildlife excursion includes a visit to Uganda’s most exciting destinations including Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park which are both located in the South western part of Uganda along Uganda’s border with the Democratic Republic of Congo.

It grants opportunities of meeting with the shy endangered ground dwelling herbivores Mountain Gorillas in the Jungles of Bwindi Impenetrable Park and different unique and attracting Wildlife species in Queen Elizabeth National Park with the famous tree climbing lions in the southern Ishasha sector being inclusive plus other African Big Fives which are usually sighted from long distance while on exciting game drives

This package starts from Rwanda and ends in Rwanda but all activities are done in Uganda except for discoverable Kigali city tour, therefore every client who is willing to do this experience will be required to land in Rwanda at Kigali International airport. An East African Tourist Visa is the best option for this Itinerary.

Different activities to be done include Kigali city tour, Mountain Gorilla trekking in Bwindi, Chimpanzee tracking, Game drives, Launch trip cruise and visit to Salt lake.

On arrival at Kigali airport our safari guide will pick you from airport and transfer for check in at your hotel of residence in Kigali city for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 1: Kigali City tour – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

 

First day of the Safari, you will be picked by our Safari guide & enjoy a city tour of Kigali which includes visiting the Kigali genocide memorial.

After the city tour you will cross borders to Uganda’s must visit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the south western part of Uganda which is popularly known for mountain gorillas.

The crossing is usually done via Katuna border in the evening hours , arrive at the lodge and check in for relaxation, dinner and overnight at Bwindi Jungle lodge, Ruhija camp, or Buhoma Community depending on the sector you are to trek the Gorillas .

Day 2: Gorilla Trek in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Our driver will pick you at the lodge in the morning for transfer after your breakfast to the Park offices or starting point for a briefing which is usually conducted by park officials to highlight trekkers on how to behave while in the Jungle and in presence of these shy endangered ground dwelling herbivores Apes.

After trekkers are divided into groups of eight people and each group is assigned to a gorilla family per day, park rangers and armed officers are assigned to different groups for the Journey to the jungle in search of these apes following permanently established routes in the Jungle.

After locating these apes in the Jungles you are allowed to stay in their presence for only one hour and after vacate the place back to park offices for certificate award.

After return to lodge for relaxation, in case time allows go for community visit. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Very early in the morning after breakfast checkout for the amazing journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park from Buhoma sector via Ishasha route and if you are lucky you will have sight of famous tree climbing lions resting up in fig tree branches, it takes about 2-3 hours for the drive. Lunch is provided en route.

Have the evening game drive in Ishasha exposing you to different Wildlife species. After the game drive you will drive to the other sector of the park. Check in for dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge or Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day4: Chimpanzee Tracking in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Very early in the morning after your delicious breakfast at the lodge transfer to Kyambura for the Chimpanzee tracking experience which usually involves moving in a group following the permanently established routes in the Jungle searching for the chimpanzee primates.

After locating them you are allowed to be in their presence for some time while experiencing their ways of living, seeing them playing, laughing plus taking photos and videos of them.

After the tracking return to the lodge for lunch as you prepare for evening game drive in the Kasenyi plains exposing you to different aquatic species, Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge. Accommodation options include Bush Lodge or Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day5: Game Drive & Visit to the Salt Lake.

Early in the morning after breakfast embark the jeep for the amazing game drive which exposes you to other Wildlife species plus doing the Lion experiential, this experiential is regarded as an extra ordinary Safari activity usually done in Queen.

This experience usually takes about 3 hours and it’s done with guidance of experienced tour guide and park ranger using different tracking devices like a GPS.

After the experiential rewarding activity drive to the salt lake of katwe to view the salt making process in Uganda, after a visit to salt lake next is lunch and late evening drive to the amazing Lake Bunyonyi. Check in for dinner and overnight stay at Bunyonyi Overland Resort.

Day6: Boat Cruise on Lake Bunyonyi & Transfer to Kigali

This is the last day of Safari, early in the morning drop in for the exciting boat cruise along the waters of Lake Bunyonyi visiting the forty eight islands on the lake, local communities. Later start a sight viewing journey from Lake Bunyonyi back to Kigali city, lunch is provided enroute.

Then our Safari guide will drop you either to your hotel of residence or at Kigali international airport for your return flight back home. End of our Services.
