5 Days Rwanda Tour

This five day trip in Rwanda allows you to track the endangered peaceful gigantic apes, Mountain gorillas in the Volcanoes National Park as well visiting the Genocide Museums.

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to the volcanoes

Depending on your arrival time, the company guide will be your best African friend in need and deeds through giving you beyond expected care and a warm welcome full of comfort. However, he may also suggest a visit to Kigali (city tour) such as visiting the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gisozi. You will then continue to Kinigi at the bottom hills of the Volcanoes. Overnight at Kinigi guest house/Mt Gorilla Nest Lodge (FB).

Day 2:  Mountain Gorillas Trekking

After breakfast, depart to the park Headquarters where you will meet your ranger guides for briefing and thereafter, get ready for gorilla tracking in Virunga National park. This activity is very exciting; but may needs a lot of patience and endurance. If you are lucky you can get to the gorillas in just a few minutes, spend an hour with them, and be back at the lodge! Some gorilla families however are more elusive, and tracking can take a full day, especially when it is muddy and wet. After the trekking, if time allows, have lunch at Ruhengeri and an excursion to explore the beautiful lakes in the region (LakeBulera & Ruhondo). Overnight at Virunga Lodge/ Kinigi guest house/Mt Gorilla Nest Lodge (FB)

Day 3: Hiking the Karisimbi

After a heavy breakfast, be ready for a 2 day volcano hiking on Karisimbi (white shell) which refers to its often white-capped summit. The Karisimbi is the 5th highest mountain of Africa. The activity starts early in the morning and takes 6 hours. Note, when one is climbing further, he/she has to be  via the Bisoke side and always  before reaching the first stopping place at an altitude of 3.700m,there is an overnight stay. Early morning after breakfast, go for Volcano Climbing at Karisimbi which is a two day trek with overnight camping at an altitude of 3,800 m that is a very remarkable event that is done not at any place in Africa but only in Rwanda. Then return for dinner and overnight at Gorilla lodge.(B-L-D)Note: the best months to climb the Karisimbi are January, February, March, July, August and September).

Day 4: Final Volcano climbing at Bisoke

Depart for another Volcano Climbing at Bisoke volcano which is a one day activity. Here, one is able to experience the difference between Africa’s Volcano altitudes since one continues to climb up to the top and that takes about four hours and Descending of the volcano is about 6 hours. However your guide will be waiting for you at the foothill to transfer you to Kigali for relaxation, dinner and overnight at a hotel of your choice.

Day 5: Departure/ Optional city Tour

There will be a morning city tour on a condition that you missed it on your arrival. Then later be ready for your outbound flight back home with fresh memories of the safari trip.
