6 Days Uganda Safari, Gorilla and Chimpanzee Trek

This excursion heads you to Uganda’s popularly known and wanted tourist sites which are located in western part of Uganda, these exciting tourist sites include Bwindi Impenetrable National park in south western part of Uganda along Uganda’s border with Democratic Republic of Congo which is popularly known to be habiting a bigger percentage of Uganda’s remaining Gorilla population in its four major sectors which include Buhoma sector, Ruhija, Nkuringo and Rushaga sector.

Kibale Forest National Park in western Uganda which is popularly known for Chimpanzee primate species and other wildlife species including primates like Colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, vervet, baboons and more, reptiles, insect species, plus different bird species is another exciting destination to go while on this Safari in Uganda.

Then you will also visit Queen Elizabeth National Park in western part of Uganda along Uganda’s border with Democratic Republic of Congo, it’s popularly known for its stunning Wildlife which includes the famous tree climbing lions in the Ishasha sector, other wild animals like Buffaloes, leopards, Kobs, Elephants, reed bucks and more, Primates, reptiles, plus different bird species.

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park

Our Safari guide will pick you from hotel of residence early in the morning after breakfast, embark the Safari jeep and start the journey from Kampala to Kibale Forest National park via Kampala-Mityana-Mubende- Fort portal highway, the journey is characterized with enroute game viewing. Lunch is provided enroute.

Reaching the suburbs of the Park, continue with a visit to the crater lakes where you will also get chance of seeing the terraced tea estates on large scale. After check in for diner and Overnight stay at the booked lodge.

Some of accommodation Options to stay include Kibale Forest camp for Budget, Chimpanzee Forest for Mid-range and Guest Primates lodge or Ndali Lodge for Luxury.

Day 2: Kibale forest- Chimpanzee tracking & transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early in morning after your breakfast, set off with the driver guide to the park offices for briefing, after briefing, at around 8:00am you will start chimpanzee tracking through this rain-forest being led by the park rangers.

This is always an exciting experience meeting chimpanzee primates face to face in the Jungle and watching them performing different daily activities like playing, jumping on tree branches, feeding and more.

While in Jungle you are exposed to other Wildlife species habited within the Jungle including monkeys like colobus monkeys, vervet and more.

After Chimpanzee tracking go back to the lodge for lunch and after check out for a 3 hours journey up to Queen Elizabeth National Park popularly known as home to a diverse number of wildlife species including the famous tree climbing lions.

Check in at the lodge for relaxation, some of accommodation options include Mweya safari lodge/Katara lodge for Luxury, Kyambura game lodge for Mid-range, and Bush lodge for Budget.

Day 3: Game drive & Launch trip cruise.

On day three early in the morning after breakfast served at the lodge rush in for the morning game drive to see some of the early risers along the Kasenyi track such as Elephants, antelopes, buffaloes, lions, warthogs, plus different bird species, this experience usually takes about 2-3 hours depending on client’s interest and how easily have sighted the Wild animals of interest.

After game drive head back to the lodge or Mweya Canteen for lunch as you get prepared for the exciting boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, boat cruise is one of the amazing activities to enjoy in Queen granting you opportunities of watching elephants, buffaloes along the banks, crocodiles, hippos, waterbucks, birds and other Species.

After the exciting boat cruise return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay. Accommodation options include Mweya safari lodge/Katara lodge for Luxury, Kyambura game lodge for Mid-range, and Bush lodge for Budget.

Day 4: Transfer from Queen to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After morning breakfast, check out for the exciting journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Ishasha sector accompanied with sighting of the tree climbing lions and many other wildlife species, along the way you will enjoy nice landscape views.

Lunch is provided en route and arrive at the lodge near or within the Park in afternoon. Enjoy your dinner and an Overnight.

Accommodation options include Buhoma Lodge/Mahogany springs for Luxury, Silverback Lodge for Mid-range, and Buhoma Community Camp for Budget

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Community Visit

Early in the morning after breakfast transfer to Park offices with your Safari guide plus packed lunch. Reaching there by 7:30am a briefing is conducted by park officials to highlight trekkers on how to behave while in presence of Mountain Gorillas.

Trekking time and distance moved in the jungle usually depends on location of these apes in the Jungles. After locating them you will be allowed to stay in their presence for only one hour while seeing them playing with young ones, feeding, laughing plus taking photos and videos of them. After one hour you will head back to pack offices for certificate award and then to lodge for relaxation, coffee as you prepare for Batwa community visit in the evening.

Day 6: Drive back to Kampala

Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast and check out for the exciting journey from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park back to Kampala. Lunch is provided en route in Mbarara town.

After lunch continue with the journey back to Kampala. Our Safari guide will drop you either at your hotel of residence if you are to stay or Entebbe airport for your return flight back home. End of Safari.
